5k loop around Alverthorpe today. Someday I'll learn to stretch well before running!! Holy shin splints!!!! I stopped to stretch a bit & I think that made it worse!! The good news is I went back to my Reebok Zigs & they feel much better!! Would've had a much better time if I stretched. Live & learn...
Less than 3 weeks 'til the RnR Philly half! I got my bib number last night & that made me excited because that makes it real!! I think I will be ready. Just gotta stop being stupid, stretch well & stick with the Zigs!!!!
Now somebody come massage my legs!!!!

Home To Hell & Back!!
The plus: I ran (well most of the time) 2 hours & 45 minutes!! The minus: I only got in 10.5 miles in that time. So discouraged that I have no speed. I obviously have stamina to get the mileage done, even with walk breaks, but why so slow?? Might have well just walked. :/ 3 weeks will be here fast & I don't wanna be that slow for my race!! Sigh...

Moving & Shaking...Literally!!
Wow, felt my first earthquake today!! It wasn't too heavy, but enough that I felt the floor below me & everything around me shake!! I couldn't believe what was happening at first. Thought a big truck went by then realized a big truck wouldn't make the building shake!! Crazy!!
I have now also ran 3 days in a row thanks to my online virtual IN running ninjas!! LOL Ran 10 on Sunday, 2 yesterday & a 5k today. Not sure what's in store for tomorrow yet. Better check with the group. :)

4 Weeks & Counting!!
Blah...10 miles done but not glorious. LOL I'll always be hard on myself. Yes, I did it, but damn was I slow. Not making excuses but...calves/shins didn't loosen until around 3.5 miles, was humid, lots of hills at the park, then left IT band starting giving me some twinges. I'm not playing around with injuring it again so I had to take some walk breaks. Took a few anyway because I needed them. Good thing is...I have 4 weeks to improve!! :)
The plus side is I DO still have 4 weeks to improve. Time to get serious!!

Sronger Than I Think!
5 miles on the dreadmill in 58:10! Not my best, but good as of late. The only good thing about the dreadmill is that I can put the speed up & push myself sometimes. Did a few short bursts at 6.0 & took a few walk breaks, but happy to get 5 done in under an hour!
I didn't want to go today. I was tired & cranky, and there were bad thunderstorms so I couldn't run outside. Vira posted something to me on Facebook & it was just the push in needed!! She's the best!! :) Sometimes you need that little gentle nudge from a friend! Even when she was down herself she lifted me up...that's what TRUE friends are all about!!

Didn't run today cause of the heat & humidity. So I had Shaun T kick my a$$ instead. And I picked one of my nemesis's from Insanity- Max Interval Plyo!! One hour of sweaty Shaun T goodness!! LOL felt good to get out some aggression. But I gotta hit the asphalt tomorrow!

Speedy!! Kinda...
Yesterday, 3.5 miles, 44:14. Today, same route, 3.5 miles, 41:26!!!! Either the compression socks are miraculous or the combo of the rain & cooler temps & socks paid off! Plus I tried to push myself, too. I felt faster but not that much faster!! :) I'll take it!!!!

Knocked Down...Get Right Back Up!!
So I've been in a funk the past few days. It's time to get my mind right & my body back on track. There were thunderstorms in my area this afternoon so I skipped my run & picked Asylum Strength out of the workout roulette envelope. Awesome!! I stuck with 10s for almost all of the exercises except the hip flys. I may be sore tomorrow but I'm ready to progress!! Feels good to get back at it...I haven't run or worked out since last Tuesday. I will be running tomorrow. At least 3 miles, but if I feel good & it's not too hot I'll try for longer!
I may get knocked down from time to time but one thing's for sure...I ALWAYS get back up!! :)
